So Samsung offered me an OTA Jelly Bean update (4.1.2) and sure I accepted it. But after that, the already pover battery life was dramatically short. Using my phone (Galaxy S2) or not, the battery would be drained in about 10 hours. Before the update I was able to get a day, max two days out of it (also not great but sure as hell beats 10 hours). So the perfect time to go off the beaten path and try out that awesome looking CyanogenMod.
Sure, CM is based on Android, so pick anything not based on Android ...

About this site
This site runs on a self build server, based on an
AsRock E350M1/USB3 dual-core
CPU.
Distro is Ubuntu Server Edition.
For serving DNS I use NSD, and OpenDNSSEC signs my zone.
The website is developed with Django, the Python web framework.
Joke all you want, but to be fair: I still use an ancient PHP script to resize my photos.
